Hey There, I'm Kim Caifano
The Middle School Mommer. I show you how to connect with your child and find joy during the middle years of parenting.
The mother-child relationship changes dramatically during the middle school years. Tweens and teens desire more independence and start to pull away. Often, there is more conflict, an increase in disrespectful behavior, and less communication. It can be a challenging season for a mom’s heart to handle.
I’m here to walk with you through all of this, sharing my own journey raising tweens and teens with raw transparency. I educate you on how to meaningfully connect with your child with my own teaching, speaking, and writing. And where I don’t have the answers, I pull in experts who do.
The middle years of parenting not only bring a new set of parenting issues, but also new realities for moms to navigate. Marriage life looks different, work-life balance changes, and the household schedule gets busier than ever.
And nobody prepares you for it.
Until now.
I’m here to give the real dish on the new life you’re living. I know the pain your heart feels as your tween begins to detach, argue, and begin the whole eye roll thing. I also know the sense of dissatisfaction you’re feeling as you try to find your new role with parenting. Is life really just driving kids to the next event, churning out fast meals, and making sure homework and chores got done?
I love to equip other women with tangible resources to live their best mom life. My content will help you reconnect with your spouse, run a household that hums a little smoother, rock your 9-5, and prioritize your mental and physical health during this stressful season.
You are not alone, mama. There is a community ready to surround, support, and equip you in these middle years of parenting. I offer a Facebook membership site that will regularly equip you with actionable steps that will transform your relationship with your tween or tween.
In this group you will hear from experts like psychologists, teachers, parenting specialists, real-life moms, pastors, and….yours truly. The goal is to help you break down communication barriers, decrease conflict, and increase connection and intimacy with your middle school child.
In addition, you’ll get to interact with other moms who are encountering the same issues as you.
Writing
Life looks different as your kids head towards middle school, and often the mom’s heart and brain have a hard time catching up. We miss our cute little elementary kid that used to sing songs in the car and give after school hugs. Our heart struggles with our tween/teen’s behavior and detachment. We’re trying to find our footing in this new stage of parenting and busier lifestyle. I write articles to equip you to meaningfully connect with your child and find clarity and satisfaction during this stage of life.
